A Practical Application on the External Treatment of Acne (A Focus on the Medical Herbs Published in the Woman's Monthly Magazines)

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: The objective of this study was to teach patients clinically useful external application of acne.
Methods: We investigated the effects and manufacturing methods of the medical herbs published in the woman's monthly magazines according to "Zhong-Yao-Da-Ci-Dian(ñéå·ÓÞÞöîð)".
Results: We investigated that Saururus chinensis Baill.(ß²ÛÜõ®), Houttuynia cordata Thunb.(åàá£õ®), Coix lachrymajobi L.(ëûì¾ìÒ) were discovered 3 times, Brassica oleracea L.(ÊöÕÀ), Raphanus sativus L.(·¡º¹), Daucus carota L. var. Sativa DC.(È«·¡º¹), Oryza sativa L.(Ú·ù«Ë³), Spinacia oleracea L.(ÆÄ·¡), Cucumis sativus L.(üÜðÐ) 2 times, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.(Êöõ®), Gallus gallus domesticus Braisson.(£¿íÛÜ), Aloe vera L.(³ëȸ), Phascolus radiatus L.(ÒÑÔç), Prunus persica Batsch.(Óþç¨), Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.(Ûãʵ), Taraxacum mongolicum Hand.-Mazz.(øäÍëçÈ), Prunus armeniaca L.(úºìÒ), Musa paradisiaca L. var. Sapientum O. ktze.(úÅõ¯) and Malus pumila Mill.(Æò°ú) were discovered once in woman's monthly magazine during last two years. According to the effects, we classificated four groups which were defervescence(ôèæð), subsidence of edema(á¼ðþ), pyorrhea(ÛÉÒÛ) and gloss(í²ëÈ) group.
Conclusion & discussion : We suggested the use of each medical herbs on the Consensus conference on acne classification. We needed the further study on the manufacturing method, the time of use and the dose.
